Dental Work Cases
Case 1 - Endo and crown
CC:
Patient 30 years old, attended as an emergency regarding pain on 36 (deep carious lesion - Irreversible pulpitis). She also had broken tooth (35 - already RCT) and unfinished RCT on 14. She was concerned about aesthetic of her teeth especially 34 (dark shade) and wanted to do tooth whitening.
Treatment:
0- Emergency: 36 extirpation and temporary resto + 35 caries removal and temp resto
1- 36 RCT (4 canals)
2- Retreatment of 35 + referred to Periodontist for crown lengthening
3- RCT of 14 (2 canals)
4- Removing the restoration of already root treated 34 (to assess the remaining tooth structure and remove the old amalgam -core material underneath the old composite). Tooth restored back with luxacore. This, temporarily addressed patient's concern about dark shade until she received definitive restoration later on.
5- Tooth whitening: First whitening tray provided to patient to be used before crown shade selection. Patient was informed new trays will be required after final treatment.
6- Indirect post and core insertion on 34
7- PFM Crowns prep - impression and insertion for 34, 35, 36
